Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Stops Jermaine White in 4th Round!

19.08.06 - By Jeff Bastasini: Welterweight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., 20, had little trouble stopping Jermaine White (14-2, 7 KO's) in the 4th round tonight at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas. However, despite winning the fight early, Chavez (27-0-1, 21 KO's) showed the usual poor defense, often taking needless headshots, as if they were a badge of courage. Nonetheless, Chavez's hooks to the body were too much for White, as he was beaten down and ultimately stopped in the 4th round. Both taller and heavier than his legendary father, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., Julio Jr. would be best served if he were to seriously consider moving down in weight, since he'll have big problems in the future when he decides to move up in competition, based on what I've seen of him.
