Nito “El Gallito” Bravo on ESPN’s The Contender 2 series
(Tucson, Arizona) --- Tucson’s boxing great Nito “El Gallito” Bravo is hitting the national stage on July 18th and taking his boxing career to a new level with his first appearance on ESPN’s The Contender 2 series. Fans and friends will gather with Bravo for the premier of the show to watch and support the local fighter as he begins his journey before a national prime time audience to become the next Contender champion. It all takes place at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 601 S. Tucson Boulevard at 7:00 P.M. This is a public event but seating is limited..

Norberto Bravo, known around Tucson as Nito, has matured and developed a reputation as one of the toughest welterweights in the business. First starting out at age eight, Bravo quickly became a local star with 120 wins in 130 bouts as an amateur. As a twenty-year-old Bravo turned professional and has been impressing boxing crowds ever since. He’s faced some of the toughest fighters in the division, including Demetrius Hopkins and Ernesto Zepeda, and continues to face each bout with a fight-until-the-end mentality, earning his nickname, “El Gallito.”
ESPN’s The Contender 2 is the creation of boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard. It follows sixteen fighters as they live together and compete against one another, battling it out to be the only man standing in the ring. It opens up with a two-hour special on July 18th at 7:00 P.M. The entire series will run on Tuesdays from July 18th to September 26th in the 7:00 P.M. slot on ESPN.
