Both Spinks and Karmazin officially tipped the scales at 153 pounds, one under the division limit. Saturday on SHOWTIME (10 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast), Karmazin defends his IBF light middleweight title against Spinks, a former undisputed welterweight champion, in an intriguing, evenly matched 12-round fight.
Cory Spinks, 28, a defensive wizard, would appear to have his work cut out for him against Karmazin, who has an incredible offensive arsenal, possibly much better than anything Spinks has ever seen before. Karmazin, (34-1-1, 21 KO's) has rarely been seen on live television, so this will be huge opportunity for him to showcase his skills in front of a large American television audience.
