Audley Harrison vs Dominick Guinn on April 14

London, UK (21th February, 2006) – Olympic Gold Medallist Audley “A-Force” Harrison (19-1, 14KOs) returns to the ring on April 14 when he takes on fellow heavyweight contender Dominic Guinn (25-3-1, 18KOs) at Rancho Mirage, CA. The fight, promoted by Goossen Tutor Promotions, will be the headline event and will air live on ESPN2’s Friday Night Fight Series..

Hazel Bruno-Gilbert, Business Manager for Audley Harrison said “We are delighted to announce this fight as it gives Audley an immediate opportunity to bounce back. Every fighter can suffer a disappointment but it is how they come back that is most important. I am completely confident that we will see Audley produce an exceptional performance on April 14. We are also delighted to once again be working with Dan Goossen and Goossen Tutor Promotions.”

A victory over Guinn will put Harrison’s career back on track following a recent loss to former world heavyweight title challenger Danny Williams. “I am very excited about this fight as I want to get back to winning ways as soon as possible and Dominic Guinn will be a tough opponent” said Harrison. “I have been training since the turn of the year and I will be going into camp very shortly.”

Guinn has the experience of 29 fights to his record, going the distance with top heavyweights James Toney and Monte Barrett. Despite losing three of his last five contests, a win over Harrison can also help to correct his career path in a winning way.

Harrison’s split decision loss to Williams has renewed his determination to come back stronger and show the boxing world and his most loyal fans that he can become heavyweight champion of the world. “I have a lot to prove after my loss to Danny Williams which was certainly my most disappointing performance to date” said Harrison. “This fight is a great opportunity to show that was a one off. I have made some necessary changes and my preparation will be far more meticulous therefore ensuring a better performance.”

This is a match-up that could make or break the careers of both fighters. Harrison and Guinn have a lot at stake and surely this contest will be one the boxing world won’t want to miss.
