Rage in the Cage combines boxing, jujitsu, wrestling, kickboxing, and grappling, whereby each fighter must become a master of each discipline. A total of sixteen bouts are scheduled at the Diamond Center, including two championship title matches, and there will be twelve local fighters competing on the card. In the spirit of Veteran’s Day there will also be two fighters who currently serve in the United States Armed Forces.
The main event will be for the Rage in the Cage Welterweight Title and two local up-and-coming fighters will face each other. The “Pounding Puerto Rican” Robert Maldonado (6-9) takes on Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Gabe Casillas (8-3), battling it out for the Welterweight Championship.
The second championship title fight of the night will be for the Native American Championship Title. Karl Perkins (5-2) goes up against Jon Tsosie (5-2) in a battle of heavyweights. Perkins will have his hands full as Tsosie is a Native American kickboxing champion who has the training to take down anyone.
Other main event fighters include Ed West (6-1), a former RITC Lightweight Champion, and Reynaldo Duarte (3-0), a member of the American Top Team. Tiger (9-2), a fan favorite weighing in at over 300 pounds, will take on Arturo Segovia (1-1). Seasoned cage fighter, Aaron Brink (17-12), will be matched up against Robert Beraun (7-3).
The undercard will include two U.S. Marines, Arturo Salcido (0-2), and Kyle Brayer. Brayer is scheduled to be deployed to Iraq in early December.
