Walker responds to Small talk

02.08.05 - Two weight Southern Area champion and European title challenger David Walker has responded to Anthony Small’s latest comments on the Internet by re-iterating his offer to fight him and by seeking clarification on an apparent mistruth. “I have already said that once he has earned his shot by reaching Championship level, I will oblige him and put him out of his misery,” said Walker. “That offer still stands – it really is that simple.”

The popular 29-year-old ‘Kid Dynamite’ – renowned as one of Britain’s most exciting boxers – finished by querying the claims that started this verbal ping-pong.

“Why has Small waffled on in an article that took forever to read, but not responded to perhaps the most important issue here?” Walker asked.

“He started all this by saying: ‘I'd like to fight David Walker, but we've tried to make that fight a couple of times and they won't take it. His people aren't having any of it.’

“Well, this fight has never been to put to anybody at Hennessy Sports by anybody from his team.

“What is significant here is that somebody is telling lies, everything else is all bluster. I want to know who is lying and for what reason?”
