WBA Sanctions Chris John Bout

20.07.05 - Today the 20th of July, the W.B.A. has officially sanctioned the Chris John vs. Tommy Browne World Featherweight title fight in Sydney on August 7th. Tommy Browne also fought for the WBC title against In-Jin-Chi from Korea in January this year in which he lost by points decision. Browne is very big for a Featherweight and also extremely tough..

This will be Chris John's first fight since his mandatory fight against Derick "Smoke" Gainer in April of this year. Chris John has been training very hard and is in great shape for this fight. This will be his first in Australia and his second fight under his new trainer Australian, Craig

Lovemore N'Dou, Daniel "The Rock" Dawson and Adam Vella will all be appearing on the current undercard. The event will be televised live in Indonesia on S.C. T.V. where Chris John is acknowledged as superstar.

The Promoter of the fight is Noel Thornberry of Australasian Sports Management.
