AAPRP announces boxing medical conference
Darien, Connecticut – June 8, 2005 – The American Association of Professional Ringside Physicians (AAPRP) announced today that this year’s boxing medical conference will take place September 21-25 at the Tropicana Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey..

This seminar on boxing medical safety is one of the AAPRP’s most important events. Leading ringside physicians, boxers, managers, promoters, commissioners and media from around the country will be in attendance. Amongst the topics scheduled for discussion are the use of steroids in boxing, pre-fight medical testing, infectious disease in sports, a commissioners review on mismatches, safety in women’s boxing, the use of medical compounds in cuts and a crash course on “spanish for the ringside physician.”
The four-day conference also includes a golf outing, a cocktail reception and an awards banquet. Continuing Medical Education Credits (CME) will be available for all physicians attending this program.
