Haye's speed and power will be a problem for Chisora

By Marcus Richardson: David Haye (25-2, 23 KO's) doesn't see his fight with Dereck Chisora (15-3, 9 KO's) lasting very long at all on July 14th at Upton Park. In fact, Haye sees the fight being over by the 6th round due to his speed and power advantage over the much slower Chisora. While there may not be all that much of a difference between the two fighters in the power department, it's Haye's hand speed that will give him a huge advantage in this fight if he chooses to use it.

He'll have to let his hands go in order to win, because he's not going to pot shot his way to victory over the busy Chisora. But it's Haye's flurries that can bring about Chisora's downfall in this fight. Chisora can be hurt, as we saw him in his fight against Robert Helenius when he was hurt early from a big right hand. Haye just has to be aware of the signs for when Chisora does get hurt.

If Chisora is backing off that's probably the best indication that Haye has hurt him with a good shot. Haye will have to pounce on Chisora if he wants to finish him off. He can't let him stay in there the entire fight because he'll run Haye to the point of exhaustion just like he did against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko last February in Munich, Germany. Chisora's confidence is sky high right now because he was able to hang with two big heavyweights in Helenius and Vitali. However both of them had significant injuries that perhaps allowed Chisora to end the fight in one piece instead of being blasted out.
