Bradley’s Win Shakes Up Boxing, Shakes Up The Pound-For-Pound Ratings

boxingBy James Slater - Whether you think Tim Bradley beat Manny Pacquiao or not, the official result, a 12-round split decision victory for Bradley, will stand. The boxing world is still trying to get over the shock - of both a bad decision in the eyes of millions and of Pacquiao’s seven year winning streak coming to an end - but Bradley, a Pound-for-Pound entrant even before the biggest, most controversial win of his pro career, must now be looked at as a fighter worthy of being put close to the very top of the mythical ratings.

Who deserves to be the top dog P-4-P right now? A guy currently incarcerated in a Las Vegas prison? Bradley? Pacquiao? Or someone else?

Here is my choice for today’s pound-for-pound top-10:

1: Floyd Mayweather Junior.

2: Timothy Bradley.

3: Manny Pacquiao

4: Sergio Gabriel Martinez

5: Nonito Donaire

6: Juan Manuel Marquez

7: Wladimir Klitschko

8: Andre Ward

9: Carl Froch

10: Chad Dawson
