HombreTV Night Of Boxing A Big Success
12.04.05 - HombreTV, the cable television network for Hispanic men, in association with Cota Boxing, Team Estrada and All-Star Entertainment Productions, taped its first boxing event, "Duelo De Aztecas" for the HombreTV boxing library. The evening featured seven fights with the main event being the fight between former world champion Yori Boy Campas and Rigoberto Placencia for the WBC Mundo Hispano title. Mr. Alex "The Bronx Bomber" Ramos, Director of HombreTV's Special Committee for Boxing and the Founder of the Retired Boxer's Foundation provided the color commentary along with Marcos Palma. Mr. Ramos interviewed many of the evening's boxers for the television audience. Ramos was joined on camera by 1984 Gold Medalist, Paul Gonzalez, along with several other contenders and champions in the arena which included Jeremy Williams, John Bray, Rafael Ruelas and two-time World Champion Bobby Chacon. Mr. Ramos said: "Duelo de Aztecas was a night of boxing to remember. The fans were treated to a first class boxing card where all the boxers came to fight! All of the fights were competitive, evenly matched and we captured it all for our HombreTV viewers."
HombreTV will be announcing the remainder of its 2005 boxing schedule in June.
