DILLAIN ‘THE VILLAIN’ WHYTE is tipped to jump to the top of the heavyweight division.

The unbeaten Londoner has to overcome a giant fence at Aintree Racecourse on Saturday May 19th when he faces Swindon knockout king Noureddine Meddoune (4-1).

Also looking to get to the winning post again is Chatham’s Tom Dallas (15-2) who faces Tom Little (3-0).

Whyte (5-0) is tipped for the top by the show’s bill topper David Price (12-0) who meets Sam Sexton (15-2) for the vacant British and Commonwealth heavyweight crowns.

Promoter Frank Maloney has shown his confidence in Whyte by matching him against Moroccan born Meddoune who has won all four fights in Britain inside a round – with opponents lasting a combined total of 262 seconds

Maloney who has a promotional deal with Whyte said: “Dillian’s reputation is growing and this a proper test.

“Meddoune claims that British heavyweights are avoiding him, but Dillian doesn’t fear anyone.

“David trains with Dillian sometimes, so I have no worries about putting him in against someone so heavy handed.”

Also added to the title stacked card is Chatham’s Dallas who is looking to salvage his career after back-to-back defeats, and takes on the Hatfield’s Little.

In the chief supporting bout Steve Williams (12-1) hopes his hometown fans will roar him on to victory when challenges for Londoner Ashley Theophane’s (31-4-1) British light-welterweight title.
