Banks defends NABF title against Firtha on Klitschko-Chisora undercard

Johnathon Banks, 27-1, 18 KOs, defends his NABF title tonight in Munich, Germany, against rugged Nicolai Firtha, 20-9, 8 KOs. Banks, hailing from Detroit, Michigan is rated #5 in the world and is anxious to show his talent once again on the world stage. This fight will be shown in over 150 countries on the international broadcast of the Klitschko/Chisora show. Firtha is from Akron, Ohio and feels that this is his time to shine; he has been in with tough opponents such as Alexander Povetkin and Tyson Fury.

Fireworks exploded yesterday at the weighin as Dereck Chisora took a cheap shot and slapped WBC Heavyweight Champion Vitali Klitschko. This promises to be a night with two great heavyweight fights at the sold out Olympiahalle in Munich.

Tom Loeffler, Managing Director of K2 Promotions: "It was crazy on the stage yesterday after Chisora slapped Vitali. This made the highlights of sports shows all over the world. Vitali has dominated the heavyweight division, he kept his cool yesterday and knows the time to get his revenge is in the ring tonight. There has been talk about Seth Mitchell or Cristobal Arreola being the top US heavyweights, but until someone from the USA beats Banks, we don't feel they deserve a shot against one of the Klitschko brothers."

The fight can be seen in the USA as the co-feature on EPIX TV or The broadcast starts at 3pm EST, 12 noon Pacific time. The Klitschko/Chisora fight is scheduled at 5pm EST and 2pm PST. In Germany, the fights Banks/Firtha and Fedchenko/Fazekas will be shown live on starting at 20.50 pm (CET).
