Marco Huck as waiter at charity dinner for the homeless

German singer Frank Zander invited more than 2.500 homeless people to his 17th annual Christmas dinner on Monday at Estrel Hotel in Berlin, Germany. World Boxing Organization (WBO) cruiserweight champion Marco Huck and former International Boxing Federation (IBF) middleweight champ Arthur Abraham were among the 150 celebrities who helped Zander to feed the poor as voluntary waiters, serving 2,800 portions of roast goose, 9,000 potato dumplings and 600 kilograms of red cabbage.

"I am proud and honored to be part of this event", said Huck. "It feels great to have the opportunity to give something back and help people in need."

Besides Huck and Abraham, former heavyweight contender Axel Schulz and champion coach Uli Wegner there were lots of celebrities from the entertainment industry and politicians helping Zander who has been organizing the event since 1995.

Lewkowicz Congratulates Jackson and Rogers

Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing wishes to congratulate his two Virgin Islands-based junior middleweights for their impressive victories on Friday night at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Fighting in front of a huge crowd of boxing dignitaries, undefeated power puncher John Jackson (12-0, 11 KOs) scored a TKO 6 over formerly undefeated Keandre Leatherwood (9-1, 6 KOs) to win the vacant WBC Youth World light middleweight title and Samuel Rogers (11-0, 6 KOs) scored a TKO 10 over formerly undefeated Jamar Freeman (9-1-2, 5 KOs) in a fight for the vacant WBC FECARBOX light middleweight title.

"Both guys fought undefeated opponents in very competitive fights and now they both have significant professional titles. Along with John's older brother Julius, they are the fighting pride of the Virgin Islands and I'm very happy for them," said Lewkowicz.

22-year-old Jackson, the son of former three-time world champion Julian Jackson, is a "chip off the old Hawk." Like his father, he has enormous punching power that can turn a fight in his favor at any second. "He has the style fans like the best. His fights are always spectacular because sooner or later he catches up to his opponents and when they fall, they fall hard.

John's older brother, Julius Jackson (12-0, 8 KO's), is an undefeated super middleweight prospect.

Samuel Rogers action29-year-old Rogers stands over six-feet tall and has the solid fundamentals and sneaky punching power to also become a force in the division. "Samuel can do it all. He can hunt you down with his aggression and he can also fight as a counter puncher who wears his opponents out by frustrating their efforts to reach him."

Lewkowicz says it won't be long before all three fighters begin regularly appearing on the premium networks.

"The people of the Virgin Islands are rallying behind these future world champions and for good reason," added Lewkowicz. "They all have the power and skills to bring big-time boxing back to their homeland."

LOS ANGELES, December 20 - They announced their arrival to the boxing world in 2011, but before each of these fighters embarks on the next steps in their respective careers in 2012, four of boxing's top prospects - Frankie Gomez, Luis Ramos Jr., Eloy Perez and Omar Figueroa Jr. - will headline the year-end edition of TeleFutura's "Sólo Boxeo Tecate Classics" on Friday, December 23.

The special broadcast will revisit August 26 in Chicago, Ill. when Frankie Gomez won an eight-round majority decision over Adrian Granados, Luis Ramos Jr.'s March 18 majority decision win over Jose Hernandez in Costa Mesa, Calif., Eloy Perez's September 2 second round knockout win over Daniel Jimenez in defense of his NABO Junior Lightweight title in Salinas, Calif. and Omar Figueroa Jr.'s August 26 second round technical knockout win over Marcos Herrera in Chicago, Ill.

The special two-hour presentation of "Sólo Boxeo Tecate," which is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and AT&T, will air on TeleFutura at 12:30am ET/PT (11:30pm CT).

Just 19 years old, East Los Angeles' Frankie Gomez (12-0, 9 KO's) is starting to fulfill his enormous potential with some impressive wins. On August 26, he was pushed to the limit by then 8-1-1 fellow prospect Adrian Granados before pulling out a hard-fought eight round majority decision win in Chicago, Ill.

Looking forward to his ShoBox debut against Raymundo Beltran on January 6, undefeated lightweight prospect Luis Ramos Jr. (20-0, 9 KO's) showed off his skill and grit on March 18 when he pounded out an eight-round majority decision victory over Jose Hernandez in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Highly-ranked super featherweight contender Eloy "Prince" Perez (23-0-2, 7 KO's) made a big statement with a win at the Sports Complex in Salinas, Calif. on September 2 when he knocked out highly-regarded Daniel Jimenez in the second round to defend his NABO 130-pound title.

Weslaco, Texas' Omar Figueroa Jr. (13-0-1, 10 KO's) has a well-deserved reputation as a knockout artist, and on the same night that Gomez defeated Granados, "Panterita" showed off his guns with a second round knockout of Marcos Herrera.

Tecate, cerveza con carácter, is the largest beer brand to sponsor boxing matches in the U.S. Part of its commitment to make boxing accessible to consumers is the title sponsorship of "Sólo Boxeo Tecate," which creates an opportunity for local fans to witness some of the most exhilarating fights by today's up-and-coming prospects. Additionally, Tecate has been a primary supporter of Golden Boy Promotions' marquee events since 2007, and has launched a variety of initiatives to ensure consumers are part of the boxing experience, including boxer autograph signing sessions, commemorative cans, PPV mail-in rebate offers, and most recently the launch of a mobile museum "Tecate Museo de Boxeo," which showcases decades of the most memorable moments in the sport.
