Sky Sports To Televise Klitschko-Adamek, Froch-Ward, Martinez-Barker Live
By James Slater: Great news for fight fans who have access to Sky Sports: the cable network will live and exclusively televise some big fights in the U.K this year. Fans who may have worried all the big fights would go elsewhere now that Sky have decided to no longer have Pay-Per-View boxing as part of their schedule can relax.

Sky have announced they will be showing the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight title clash between Vitali Klitschko and Tomasz Adamek on September 10th, the Sergio Martinez-Darren Barker middleweight title showdown on October 1st and also the “Super Six” final between Carl Froch and Andre Ward on October 29th. Along with this, Sky will also televise fights involving Kell Brook and Jamie McDonnell this year.
Rival network Primetime have snapped up the rights to the Floyd Mayweather-Victor Ortiz fight, but the news that the above mentioned fights will go out on Sky sweetens the blow a little. The Klitschko-Adamek and Froch-Ward fights are two of the biggest and most intriguing of the year (even if most fans feel Vitali will definitely defeat Adamek) and thank goodness U.K fans will get to see them without having to shell out £14.95.
Hopefully Sky will get the rights to many more big fights next year and in the coming years. The autumn (fall) line-up is a good one (even without Mayweather-Ortiz), but it is to be hoped Sky gets to show future Mayweather, Pacquiao, Klitschko and Martinez fights.
Now, would it be too much to ask for Sky to also buy the rights to future fights involving Nonito Donaire, Bernard Hopkins, Lucian Bute, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Timothy Bradley, etc, etc!
