Hopkins Over Eastman In 12

19.02.05 - By Aidan Monaghan: In what was a somewhat restrained effort by both fighters, punctuated by the periodic scoring power punches by Bernard Hopkins, Hopkins in fact retained his undisputed middleweight title against a persistent Howard Eastman via a unanimous decision, who actually was to a limited degree, in command early on. But from the middle of the fight onward, it was Hopkins who rose to the occasion with periodic and timely scoring power punches that were taken well by Eastman.. Despite throwing approximately half the number of total punches as Eastman, Hopkins in fact landed at nearly twice the rate as his foe. The judges scorecards read as follows: 119-110, 117-111, 116-112. With this latest defense (his 20th), Hopkins moves his record to 46-2-1-(32) as Eastman's record falls to 40-2-35.
