Who Should Maidana Fight Next?

By Andrew Hall: After showing his terrific power and strength by defeating Eric Morales who should the hard punching Maidana face next? I think it would be a mistake to face Morales again because he gains little by winning again and loses everything if he were to lose. Plus, I don't think it would be worth watching Morales fight again. He needs to hang the gloves up and retire. He was a great fighter but I think he is past his prime.

So, the question is who should Maidana take on now? I don't think he could get a rematch with Khan because Amir is too smart to get back in the ring with the man who rocked him countless times in their previous match. What about fighting Miguel Cotto at 147? Now that would be a terrific bout. Cotto could come back down and face a man coming up. I would pay to see that fight. It would be a terrific fight for Puerto Ricans and Mexicans, since they have an ongoing war in the boxing ring.

Another good fight for Maidana would be one with Ricky Hatton (if Ricky could get active again). I'd love to see that fight at around 140. That would be a very action packed fight and I think it would be interesting to see who would back who up. Plus, it would also be interesting to see how Maidana would fare against the speed of Ricky Hatton.

Between these two possible fights the one I"d like to see most would be Maidana vs Cotto. I think they would create fireworks for the fans. I think it would make for a great rivalry. I think it would sell lots of tickets and make the people involved a lot of money. As Mills Lane would say "Lets get it on". Are you with me fight fans?
