Arnaoutis Training For The Unknown

04.02.05 - Cestus Management's junior welterweight sensation "Mighty" Mike Arnaoutis is still in the gym, training hard and sparring even harder, despite the fact that his opponent, Michael Warrick, has fallen out of their scheduled bout with a reported broken rib sustained during sparring. Although Warrick has now exited stage left, Team Cestus and "Mighty" Mike aren't about to throw up their hands in defeat..

Arnaoutis will still fill the main event on the February 18 broadcast of the Showtime Network's ShoBox: The New Generation series, and the 2004 Prospect of the Year will still be coming to fight. The question is, who will he fight?

"Frankly, that's up in the air right now," says Cestus Management's Special Advisor Mike Michael. "All we know right now is that we're looking at the possibilities, but the show will go on. 'Mighty' Mike will fight, he'll defend his NABO title if possible, and as usual, he'll be nothing short of sensational. Gary Shaw Productions is one of the most professional outfits in the game, and I have no doubt that they will continue to work with us to find someone to step up to the plate and give my boy a fight."

Says Arnaoutis, "Of course, it's never easy to train for a particular opponent and then have to fight someone else. Still, it's better to do that than to pull out of the fight and have all that training go to waste. All I'm doing now is working in the gym. My team is behind me, and I know they'll make sure that I'm able to show the fans just how hard I've been working."
