04.12.03 - Chicago boxing promoter Bobby Hitz has stepped up to the plate regarding the issue of a promoter summit. “There has been plenty of talk over the past few weeks about holding a promoter summit to address the issues facing our sport. With the complexion of our business changing dramatically next year, now is the time to get this done.”

Hitz Boxing is hosting the last ESPN2 Friday Night Fights broadcast of the year on December 19th near Chicago’s O’Hare airport. O’Hare is centrally located and flights are affordable.

Hitz continued, “I’m happy to donate meeting space and discounted room rates at our host hotel for a Tuesday, December 16th summit. With this year’s boxing calendar winding down, this is the perfect time to come together to discuss the future. I’ve spoken with a few of my contemporaries and they’ve committed to be here to discuss the issues. We welcome any and all interested promoters to join us.”
