Amateur Star Alantez Fox Turns Pro Tonight

FORRESTVILLE, MD (July 9, 2010) The professional debut of a former amateur standout is always a special occasion and this Friday night, July 9th will be no exception as Alantez “TEZ” Fox of Forrestville , Maryland , will face off against Toledo ’s Najee Hayes in Chambersburg , Pennsylvania . The Fox/Hayes scheduled four round welterweight bout is one of the feature attractions at the “Mason Dixon Showdown” at Orchards Restaurant and Lounge, 1580 Orchard Drive in Chambersburg , PA. Just 18 year old, the 6’ 4” Fox capped off a fantastic amateur career by taking first place in the welterweight division at the 2010 Under – 19 National Championships in Cincinnati , Ohio , this past February.

‘My training has been great leading up to this week, I’ve been a little nervous but that’s to be expected” said Fox. “After this bout I want to stay active and fight as much as possible. I’m anxious to get as much experience as a professional as quickly as possible.

Earlier this month, Fox signed with fast rising, international promotional company, TKO Boxing Promotions who plan to keep him busy and developing. He will be coming back Saturday, July 31st on the “ Battle of York V” show at the Sovereign Bank Stadium in York , PA.
