Al Bernstein Boxing Party in Reno

Hall of Fame boxing announcer Al Bernstein has created a special version of his Boxing Party Show as part of the 100th anniversary celebration of the Jack Johnson-Jim Jeffries fight July 2nd to 4th in Reno, Nevada. Al will perform the show on Saturday, July 3rd at 2:00 PM at the Xtreme Sports Bar & Lounge in the Grand Sierra Resort as part of this important boxing weekend. Al has presented this fun interactive stage show at casino’s and theaters around the United States. It features video highlights, trivia, humor and audience participation, and for the July 3rd performance, he has added special material about the Johnson-Jeffries match..

The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 2nd with a gala co-hosted by Al and fellow sportscaster Rich Marotta, at the Grand Sierra Resort. There will also be a live boxing show Saturday night at the Grand Sierra Resort, as well as ongoing historical exhibits about the history making fight.

Let’s Get It On Promotions is presenting this Anniversary Celebration and the live boxing event and its’ President Terrance Lane said, “We are honored to have Al here for this event. He is not only a great commentator, but also a first rate boxing historian and his presence adds so much to our weekend of activities.”

Bernstein, who is celebrating his 30th year in broadcasting, said, “The Johnson-Jeffries fight was important on so many levels and it’s an honor for me to be a part of the 100th anniversary celebration.” He added, “There are so many interesting activities packed into this weekend that I think any boxing fan would want to be there. I am really looking forward to it.”

A number of boxing celebrities will be on hand for the weekend, including Super Middleweight Champ and Olympic Gold Medalist Andre Ward.
