Mikael Zewski moves to 4-0 With KO Win In Quebec

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC (May 31, 2010) Fighting for the fight time as a professional in Canada after a sensational amateur career, top welterweight prospect Mikael Zewski thrilled the huge crowd at the Pepsi Coliseum on Friday night with a stunning first round knockout of veteran John Hoffman. On the undercard of the Eric Lucas/Librado Andrade super middleweight showdown, the 21 year old Zewski drilled Hoffman three times to the canvas before the bout was stopped at the 1:45 mark of the first round. With the win, the Trois-Rivičres, Quebec, Canada native improved to 4-0 with three knockouts..

“Although he was a southpaw, I figured him out pretty easily. I hurt him early on in the first round and I think my power was too much for him” said Zewski.

With two of his first three bouts being broadcast in Canada, Zewski has become one of the country’s most popular fighters.

“It was a thrill to fight so close to home. The crowd was terrific and very supportive of me which means a great deal.”
