Williams defeats Cintron

By Ken Neir: Paul Williams defeated Kermit Cintron by a 4th round technical decision tonight at the Home Depot Center, in Carson, California after Cintron fell out of the ring in the 4th round and couldn't continue fighting. Cintron fell on a ringside table and was injured during the fall. He ended up being taken out of the ring on a stretcher, wearing a neck brace. There was little action to speak of in the fight until the 4th round. The fight came to a crashing halt in the round when Williams slipped on the canvas and fell and Cintron tripped over his leg and fell out of the ring onto a table. The final judges' scores were 39-37 for Williams, 36-40 for Cintron and 40-36 for Williams. It's unknown if the decision will be overturned..
