Travis and Tarvis Simms arrested

By Coach Tim Walker - What is the world coming to when the good guys can't get along anymore? I say that in jest, but it is much more serious. According to a Norwalk (Connecticut) Police report twin brothers Travis Simms (25-1-0) and Tarvis Simms (25-1-1) were both arrested and hit with multiple charges for fighting each other.

The report states that the brothers were arguing at Tarvis' home. The argument got physical when Travis allegedly punched Tarvis in the face. The two men tussled heavily rolling around on the floor. During the altercation Travis' 10 year old daughter attempted to intervene and was bitten on the arm..

Norwalk police officers stated the dispute progressed from fisticuffs to Tarvis grabbing a knife and threatening Travis, who grabbed a gun and demanded Tarvis leave his home.

Travis, who holds a seat as city councilman, was arraigned Monday, April 5 on charges of reckless endangerment, threatening, and third-degree assault.

His brother, Tarvis, was also arraigned on charges of risk of injury to a minor, threatening, and third-degree assault. Travis is the former WBA Light Middleweight World Champion who in 2007 lost the title to Joachim Alcine.

Sad story, but true. Personally, I hope this is worked out quickly so these guys can get back to just being good guys.
