The Stars Are Aligned: Denzel Washington Faces Off With Vitali Klitschko

On Saturday, Sept. 26, Klitschko (37-2, 36 KOs), of Los Angeles, will defend his WBC title against undefeated, No. 1-ranked WBC contender Cristobal Arreola (27-0, 24 KOs), of Riverside by way of East L.A., in an eagerly awaited showdown of heavy hitters at STAPLES Center.

One of the most popular fighters in the world, Klitschko will make history by becoming the first fighter to headline three times at STAPLES Center..

The power-punching Arreola, who has had only one fight go the distance (24 by KO, two by DQ on the way to a KO), will try to make history by becoming the first boxer of Mexican descent to capture a world heavyweight championship.

While the 6-foot-10 Odom gears up for another NBA season, the six-foot-seven Klitschko is focused on Saturday, Sept. 26, when he will defend his WBC belt against unbeaten, No. 1-ranked Cristobal Arreola at STAPLES Center.

Klitschko brings a record of 37-2 with 36 knockouts into what will be an exciting, hotly contested 12-round showdown. The dangerous-punching Arreola, of Riverside, California, via East Los Angeles, is 27-0 with 24 KOs.
