A native of Los Angeles, CA, and a member of the 2000 United States Olympic team, Navarro has reeled off 20 straight victories without tasting defeat in the professional ranks. Navarro is ranked no. 1 by the WBC, no. 2 by the WBO, no. 3 by the IBF and no. 4 by the WBA.
Should he emerge victorious, Navarro will take on Katsushuige Kawashima for the WBC World Junior Bantamweight Championship on January 3, 2005 in Tokyo.
The co-feature is a heavyweight "Battle of Connecticut" with Hartford's Lawrence Clay-Bey (20-2, 15 KO's) squaring off against New Haven's Otis Tisdale (21-16-1, 13 KO's).
