Kiel played host to a star-studded media work-out on Tuesday afternoon as IBF Middleweight Champion King Arthur Abraham, WBA/WBC Welterweight Contender Cecilia Braekhus and “Relentless” Lamon Brewster gave the boxing fans a first impression of their talents. In Saturday´s main fight, King Arthur looks to further improve his stunning record of 28 victories (23 KOs) without defeat. He takes on unbeaten Lajuan Simon (21-0, 12 KOs). “I am highly motivated,” King Arthur said. “The fact that he has never tasted defeat before has further enhanced my motivation. After fighting me, he will know what it is like to leave the ring as the loser..”
In the biggest fight of her career, Cecilia Braekhus (10-0, 2 KOs) takes on Denmark´s Vinni Skovgaard (7-0, 3 KOs) for the vacant WBA/WBC Female Welterweight Titles. “I know her well,” the popular First Lady said. “We have fought five times as amateurs. I have won three of the meetings and look forward to beating her for a fourth time.”
On the undercard, Lamon Brewster (34-4, 30 KOs) will make his first fight for Team Sauerland after striking a deal with the Berlin-based promoters earlier this month. The former WBO heavyweight champion comes face-to-face with Britain´s Michael Sprott (31-12, 16 KOs).
Also, Dominik Britsch (12-0, 5 KOs) will make his first-ever title fight as he clashes with Daniel Urbanski (10-4, 3 KOs) for IBF Youth Middleweight Title. “Dominik is one of the biggest talents I have ever trained,” coach Ulli Wegner lauded. “His first-round KO victory over Rachid Ouafi a fortnight ago has confirmed his great shape. He really has a golden future ahead, and he will win his first title on Saturday.”
