Scott Harrison Heads For Torquay
09.09.04 - Two-time WBO World Featherweight Champion SCOTT HARRISON has set up his training camp in Torquay for his forthcoming title defence on Friday 29 October at the Braehead Arena. The Cambuslang warrior prepared for his last title defence in the spartan surroundings of Fort Williams in Scotland but has now opted for a torture camp in Torquay with father and trainer Peter.

Whilst Harrison awaits confirmation of his next challenger, he is busily preparing himself for his third defence in his second reign as WBO world champion. Harrison said, "A change is as good as a rest and I felt that it would be beneficial for my training to go somewhere different. Fort William was great but Torquay is something different and the main thing was to get away and totally focus on the fight ahead without any distractions,"
"We are doing lots of beach and coastal runs in the morning which are just as demanding as the mountains at Fort Williams. In the afternoon we do intensive sessions in the boxing gym and fitness centre. I'm happy with the way the training has been going and am looking forward to getting back into action,"
"Here there is nothing to do but concentrate on training and fighting and I am intent on destroying whoever is put in front of me."
Tickets for the Braehead Arena show, priced at £30, £50, &75 and £125, are available from the Braehead Arena 0870 444 6062 or Keith Prowse Ticketing 0870 906 3839.
