“Of course, I am very happy about the final decision”, states Sam. “I know that I won the fight and I was very disappointed when the draw was announced. I would have loved to celebrate the title with my fans in Ankara.”
“All that counts is that justice won in the end”, adds promoter Ahmet Öner.
Sam will receive the championship belt at an official press conference in Istanbul next Monday (July 21st).
Asked for his future plans Sinan Samil Sam says: “Now that I am European champion again I want to take the next step and finally fight for a world title and become heavyweight champion of the world.
