Aydin vs. Lewele on April 26th in Trabzon, Turkey

The WBC international welterweight championship clash between unbeaten Turkish powerhouse “Mini-Tyson” Selcuk Aydin and former champion Lucky Lewele from South Africa has been postponed for one day from April 25th to April 26th 2008. The bout will take place in Selcuk’s hometown Trabzon..

“I’m really excited about fighting in front of my home crowd”, states Selcuk Aydin. “I don’t care about the date. I would step in the ring tomorrow if Lewele is ready. I will blow him away to win the title for Turkey and all my Turkish fans.”

The undercard of the action packed show features Cuban heavyweight sensation “La Sombra” Odlanier Solis (8-0-0, 5 kos) who will take on unbeaten Georgian prospect Mamuka Jikurashvili (20-0-0, 14 kos) and “Germany’s hope” Steffen Kretschmann (11-0-0, 10 kos) who takes on Zurab Noniashvili (10-5-1).

Also on the card are German heavy Konstantin Airich (8-0-1, 8 kos), Turkish Olympic silver medallist Atagün Yalcinkaya (1-0-0) and promising middleweight prospect Mahir Oral (21-1-2, 8 kos) who gives his comeback after a long injury break.
