Wasps coach Shaun Edwards, who played a pivotal role in Wales’ Six Nations success as Warren Gatland’s right hand man, wishes he could attend on Saturday night.
Hardman Edwards said: “Best of luck Joe, I wish I could be over there in Vegas watching you mate, I hope you box his head off.”
Fellow Welsh coach Rob Howley said: “Joe, all the best on Saturday mate, hopefully you take it to Hopkins on the night, all the best.”
Gand Slam hero Shane Williams, who was voted Six Nations player of the tournament after becoming Wales’ all-time leading try scorer, shares the qualities of Newbridge’s superstar, namely searing speed, work rate and inspired moments of brilliance.
The twinkle-toed wing wizard said: “I'd like to say good luck to Joe, do us proud and knock him out son.”
