Nemiroff to sponsor its first U.S. boxing match

23.07.04 - Nemiroff, a Ukrainian international spirits producer, will serve as lead-sponsor for the July 24 WBC super lightweight world championship bout featuring champion Arturo Gatti and Leonard Dorin, it was announced today by Main Events CEO Kathy Duva. The 12-round title bout, as well as a 10 round jr. welterweight co-feature bout between Francisco “Panchito” Bojado and former world champion “Jesse” James Leija, will be broadcast live on HBO’s “World Championship Boxing” series beginning at 9:30 pm ET/6:30 pm PT. The electrifying fight card will take place at Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall and will be hosted by Caesars Atlantic City and Bally’s Atlantic City.

There are fewer than 1,500 tickets remaining for the July 24 Gatti-Dorin bout. The majority of the remaining tickets are priced at $50. Tickets can be purchased at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall Box Office, by calling TicketMaster at 1-800-736-1420, or by visiting

Nemiroff leads the Ukrainian alcohol market. It produces 25 kinds of spirits: classical vodkas, special and flavoured vodkas, bitter and sweet liqueurs, low alcohol cocktails. In the United States, Nemiroff is known for such a brands as Honey & Pepper, Nemiroff Premium, and Rye & Honey. The company supplies its spirits to more than 40 countries. At the present moment, the company exports 50% of its products.

According to the results of 2003 year Nemiroff was recognized as the “International Fastest Growing” alcohol brand in the world in accord with Millionaires Club rating, published in the May issue of Drinks International magazine (Great Britain). And one more confirmation of the Nemiroff’s high status as an international brand is its entry with a 37th place in rating of «100 leading world brands of strong alcoholic drinks» – the rating of Impact magazine as the most authoritative periodical about drinks in USA and Canada.
