Sam Peter to fight Vitali Klitschko

Nathan King: According to earlier reports, Jose Sulaiman, WBC President, has order that Vitali Klitschko is to be Sam Peter's first defense of his recently gained title. Peter (30-1, 23 KO) defeated Russian Oleg Maskaev sixth round TKO on March 8 to receive the WBC title. Klitschko who hasn't fought since his TKO victory over Danny Williams in December of 2004, has battled frequent injuries that has been the main cause of his inactivity..

Peter has made it apparent that he wants a rematch with Klitschko's younger brother Wladimir after he defeated Peter in 2005. Peter, however, has confirmed that he'd be happy to fight either brother, and that he would be "tomorrow."
