Kay "Wild Wild" West Scheduled To Make Debut For Cota Boxing Promotions

Fighting in Baja California, Mexico for the first time in her career, undefeated Bantamweight prospect Kaleisha Wild Wild West (7-0-0, 0 KOS) is heading south of the border hoping to extend her fight streak to 8 straight wins. On March 29, 2008, the Moreno Valley native looks to impress a sell out crowd in front of the famous "Gymnasio Tigre Garcia" in Ensenada, Baja California Mexico.

West is scheduled to fight Ceniz Meraz (0-1-1, 0 KOS) from Sonora, Mexico. While looking to build on her WBC #9 ranking, West expressed the following thoughts on fighting in Mexico for her first time; Im excited for the opportunity that Cota Boxing Promotions has given me to showcase my skills and I hope to give the fans in Mexico a fight that theyll never forget. My father has a lot of respect for Mexican fighters and he has made me understand that Im not facing a duck.

Kay also went on to say, Im training hard as if this fight was my last. I want to give the crowd something to cheer about. Being that Im half Mexican, it makes me more proud and pumps me up knowing Im representing my own heritage. I love to hear the crowd and it gets me goingI fight for the people.
