Marquez – Pacquiao Tickets On Sale Now

Matthew Hurley: Tickets for the Juan Manuel Marquez – Manny Pacquiao rematch went on sale today at 10:00 AM Pacific Time at the Mandalay Bay box office and all Las Vegas area Ticketmaster locations. Prices are listed at $600, $400, $200 and $100. There is a limit of eight tickets per person. The bout, scheduled for twelve rounds, will take place on March 15th at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino and will be televised on HBO pay per view at 9:00 PM Eastern Standard time.

Marquez, 48-3-1 with 35 KOs from Mexico City will be defending his World Boxing Council super featherweight title. It will be Marquez’s second defense of his belt since dethroning Marco Antonio Barrera in March by unanimous decision. He successfully defended the title in November against Rocky Juarez also by unanimous decision.

Pacquiao, 45-3-2 with 35 KOs from General Santos City, Philippines last fought in October winning a unanimous decision over Marco Antonio Barrera. His other ring performance in 2007 was an eighth round knockout over Jorge Solis.

Marquez and Pacquiao first fought in May of 2004 at the MGM Grand. That night the ‘Pac Man’ sent Marquez to the canvas three times in the first round only to see the resilient fighter nicknamed ‘Dinamita’ box his way back into the fight, eventually battling Pacquiao to a thrilling draw.

Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank are promoting the rematch between Marquez and Pacquiao, in association with Romanza Boxing Productions and MP Promotions.
