Rahman Stops Calloway In Second Round!

17.06.04 - Former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman stopped Rob Calloway in the second on Thursday night at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, Maryland. After chasing his overmatched and undersized opponent around the ring in round one, Rahman finally caught up with him in the second and dropped Calloway (44-5-1) with an overhand right at the two minute mark. Rahman retained his position as the mandatory challenger to WBA champion John Ruiz. However, the win doesn’t guarantee a rematch with Ruiz, who is reportedly favoring a unification fight with any of the other three heavyweight champions rather then facing Rahman again, who he easily defeated in December 2003.
