arena-CEO Ahmet Öner: “This fight is important for Yan. He needs to gain more experience so we can bring him up in the rankings fast.”
Yuriorkis Gamboa already fought himself in top positions in the ratings. He’s No. 5 in the WBA and No. 11 in the WBC. Gamboa will be training in Los Angeles from now on with arena’s strength and conditioning coach Moritz Klatten to prepare for his next fight.
Öner: “Gamboa repeatedly proofed that he is the biggest talent in the boxing world today. He made his way to the top of the ratings with only 7 pro-fights against very strong opponents. Now he wants to win titles. We prepared an excellent training camp in L.A. for him to give him the best conditions to get ready for the big fights coming up.”
