Both fighters traded big shots in the early rounds. However, 3K Battery contrated much too often on throwing hooks which allowed Molitor to time him and hit him with shots as he was coming in.
Though 3K Battery was the more aggressive fighter, he was wild with his punches much of the time as he seemed to be throwing every punch with knock out intentions. The fight boiled down to the more skilled Molitor boxing, using his jab and left hand to fend off the wild 3K Battery who became more desparate with his attacks as the rounds went by and he became further and further behind in the fight.
Perhaps 3K Battery's was shining moment was in the 7th round when he landed a powerful left hand that knocked Molitor back into the ropes. However, Molitor quickly responded and fought well for the remainder of the round, proving that the punch was more of a fluke than an indication that the fight was turning around. In rounds eight through twelve, controlled the action, landing a large amount of jabs and left hands to the body and head that prevented 33 year-old 3K Battery from getting his offense restarted.
