Alfredo Escalera JR Makes His NYC Debut

August 16, 2007 (New York) -Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing is proud to announce Alfredo Escalera Jr, (14-0, 11KO’S) the son of former World Champion Alfredo “Salsero” Escalera, will make his New York debut live from the Utopia Paradise Theater, broadcast on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights.

The undefeated hard hitting Puerto Rican, Escalera Jr. will face Harvie Jolley (6-4-1, 3KO’s) scheduled for 8 rounds, Friday the 24th in front of a crowd curious to see if he is his father’s son. Escalera has notched up an impressive 11 KO’s, 10 of them coming before the 4th round.

Like many offspring from dynamic boxing families; Mayweather, Camacho, Chavez: Escalera, age 27, has big shoes to fill. He welcomes the opportunity to show that he too has the blood of a champion flowing through his veins.
