Franco swept most of the rounds which were made close and exciting by the gritty veteran out of Sinaloa, Mexico. Manager Al Franco felt this was a great step up for the nineteen year old. “We’re moving him along slowly,” said Franco. “Michael took this fight at 122 and looked great. We’re probably going to go down a division or two and dominate.”
Local product Anthony Villareal knocked out Paul Anistro in the second round with two hard rights. Villareal improves to 5-2, 3 KO’s. Anistro is now 0-1-2.
Sergio Herrera defeated Eddie Leal in a four round super flyweight bout. It was another war with both men leaving everything in the ring. In the end, Herrera was the more aggressive and landed the most telling shots. The decision was 40-36 and 39-37 (twice).
Loren Myers (4-3, 1 KO) defeated Isaias Reyes who was making his pro debut in the super middleweight division. The decision was 40-36 by all judges.
Kadaphi Proctor drew against Gustavo Torrales in a hard fought four round junior welterweight war. The show was put on by II Feathers promotions. The ring announcer was Joe Martinez.
