Final Forum Boxing Brings Boxing Action Jacksonville, Florida

forum boxing08.06.07 - By Wray Edwards: This Friday night at the Morocco Shrine Events Center in Jacksonville, Florida there will be a fight card composed of boxers in Final Forum’s stable, as well as local talent. The Main Event will be a 12 round WBF Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship contest between Derric Rossy, 15-1-0, 9KO’s from Medford, New York and Ronald Bellamy, 14-6-0, 9 KO’s from Vanceboro, North Carolina. Also an eight round heavyweight fight between Travis Walker, 23-0-1, 17 KO’s, from Tallahassee, Florida and Cornelius Ellis, 10-13-1 from Wilson, North Carolina should produce some fireworks.

The last Boxing attraction of any note was Librado Andrade’s contest in JAX in parallel with the Superbowl. Final Forum’s leader, Sal Musumeci is sailing along with such events as the fight between Taurus Sykes and Hasim Rachman in Rochester, NY on June 14th, and Darnell “Ding-a-Ling Man” Wilson versus Emmanuel Nwodo, June 29th, on ESPN’s FNFs for the USBA Cruiserweight title on Staten Island. Jacksonville boxing fans are growing in number with each event which comes to this city. Here are the weigh-in results:

Derric Rossy…252 lbs.
Ronald Bellamy…252.5 lbs.

Travis Walker…245 lbs.
Cornelius Ellis…245

Pat Washington, Orlando, Florida, 20-1-0, 15 KO’s…159.8 lbs.
Oscar Gonzales…158.8 lbs.
