Brock decisions Gonzalez

02.06.07 - Calvin Brock (31-1, 23 KO's) had to get up off the canvas after being knocked down in the 3rd round, to win a unanimous decision tonight over Alex Gonzalez (18-5, 8 KO's) at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The knockdown did little damage, aside from embarrassing Brock, who had expected an easy time against Gonzalez.

Brock responded well, getting up off the deck and controlling the bout with his jab and right hand the rest of the way. The final judges' were 79-74, 77-74, 77-74. Brock, 32, is still trying to resurrect his once promising career after suffering his first loss when he was knocked out in the 7th round by IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko at Madison Square Garden on November 11, 2006.
