tim witherspoon-- Click here to listen to the show -- by Jenna J - On the Ropes Boxing Radio was back in action with hostess, Jenna J, co-host Nick Powers and special weekly guest Rummy. This week’s episode began with a discussion about last weekend’s fights, starting with Tavoris Cloud’s workman like win against Clinton Woods for the vacant IBF light heavyweight championship. In other noteworthy contests, Juan Urango defended his IBF junior welterweight title in an entertaining scrap with Randall Bailey and Marco Huck won the WBO cruiserweight title from Victor Emilio Ramirez. Check out our post-fight thoughts on these match-ups and what we think is next for the key participants from last week’s action.

This week’s episode was highlighted by two special guests. First up, was former 2 time heavyweight champion “Terrible” Tim Witherspoon. The former champion answered questions about his career talking about his fight with Larry Holmes, his problems with Don King and why he thinks a fight with Mike Tyson never came to together and what he thinks would of happened if they did meet in the ring. We also talked to him about his current endeavors outside the ring and got his opinions on the current boxing landscape, both inside and outside the heavyweight division.

We provided feedback and opinions from the first episode of the new edition of HBO’s “24/7”—a series devoted to promoting the upcoming mega bout between former pound for pound King, Floyd Mayweather Junior, and the highly regarded Mexican warrior, Juan Manuel Marquez..

We also had a chat with former welterweight contender Adrian “The Predator” Stone. Talking a little bit about his career and his fights with Sugar Shane Mosley and Vernon "The Viper" Forest.
