Joe Mesi Annihilates Johnson!

15.04.07 - Joe Mesi (35-0, 28 KOs) destroyed mismatched opponent Ron Johnson (21-21, 12 KOs), needing only one round to stop him on Saturday night at the The Hughes Center, in Russellville, Arkansas. Although, he was originally supposed to be fighting Marvin Hill, that fight was cancelled at the last second, making it necessary to fight a replacement to salvage the fight. Unfortunately, Johnson proved to be no match for Mesi, getting knocked down twice before the fight was stopped in the 1st round. Mesi, 33, reportedly would like to step it up and start fighting tougher opponents than the type of fighters that he has been fighting since returning to boxing.
