Saint Valentines Day Massacre

Promoter Carlos Llinas CLIP Boxing, Blue Cap Promotions and Little River Casino are hoping for yet again another sold out night of boxing when they present Saint Valentines Day Massacre, a night of professional boxing to be held at Little River Casino, Friday, February 9th at 7pm. The night will feature the talents of up and coming sons of legends, as well as the hottest young prospects in the country. Reality television stars Cornelius “K9” Bundrage and ring legend Thomas Hearns are scheduled to appear. Motown recording star Trice will be singing the national anthem..

In the main event, five short months after being shot three times, (including once in the back of the head) and surviving a murder assassination plot against him, Vernon “Ice Man” Paris will fight for his first title. He will be fighting Eric Hall for the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians super lightweight title.

The co-main event will feature Detroit’s own Ronald “Motor City Cobra” Hearns, son of famed boxing ring legend Thomas “The Hitman” Hearns, who will be in the building to see his son fight. See the younger Hearns defend his undefeated record of 12-0 (10 by way of knockout)

The feature bout will be Tyrone “Young Gun” Brunson, 13-0 (13 KO’s)-all in the first round! He will take a step up in his first eight round fight against tough veteran John “The Hulk” Hoffman. It will be interesting to see if Tyrone can continue his first round knock out streak towards the world record of consecutive first round knock outs.

The undercard is stacked with more impressive talent. Heavyweight veteran David “The Boss” Bostice will be in action. Local standout star Mike Malotke of Muskegon takes on the entertaining Frank White. Also on the card is the always action Cory “Mad Bomber” Peterson.
Other notable fighters on the card include local favorites Jason Whar and Joshua “Young Blood” McClellan.

The weigh-in will be held at Little River Casino, Thursday, Feb. 8th at 7pm on the floor of the casino. Fight fans, media and all press are invited to attend.

On fight night, doors will open at 7:00 and the first fight is at 7:30 pm. Tickets are priced starting at $35 up to $75 and will be available at the door or by calling Little River Casino at (866)473-2538. Little River Casino is located on U.S. 31 and M 22 in Manistee.
