Mayweather v Pacquiao Tickets At Last!

It appears that the rich and powerful can finally sleep a little easier tonight, as Mayweather-Pacquiao tickets appear to finally be going on sale later today.

Well around a thousand rich people can sleep easy anyway, as of the 16,500 seats inside the venue come fight night, that’s the amount that will be available to the public.

Maybe Oscar De La Hoya gave Top Rank/Mayweather Promotions/The MGM Grand and whoever else a much needed kick up the backside with his widely publicised tweets mocking the ticket fiasco?

Either way it doesn’t really matter as media outlets the world over are reporting that everybody concerned have finally got their act together and the heat generated by all quarters seems to have paid off.

9 days out from the fight is a pretty poor showing in my book, but at least it’s hopefully now done. Leonard Ellerbe said Wednesday;

“I’m doing my absolute best to make sure that they will be on sale tomorrow. But I don’t have a time yet.”

Mayweather himself has said of the circus surrounding tickets;

“I don’t worry about tickets. I worry about the guy in front of me – Manny Pacquiao. That’s my whole focus. Tickets is something I don’t deal with.”

And I’m not surprised. 9 days out from the fight of their lives, neither fighter needs any unnecessary distractions. They are not to blame for this, yet it’s obvious that there has been some pretty poor organisation from all those concerned behind the scenes.

Every cloud and all that mind you. Should you be lucky enough to get YOUR hands on a ticket, black market resale value is already being estimated at $100,000 or £60,000. Serious money.
