Jose “Fredito” Guadarrama Hometown Debut!



Junior welterweight Jose “Fredito” Guadarrama Jr. (1-1, 1 KO) makes his hometown debut Friday, October 4 on the undercard of “Punch Out” at the Comanche Nation Casino, in Lawton, OK. Guadarrama will face Oklahoma City’s Edwin Williams, (1-0), in a scheduled four round bout. Headlining the event is “Comanche Boy” George Tahdooahnippah.

Jose, 19, was born in Puerto Rico, and has lived in Lawton his entire life, and is a 2012 graduate of Eisenhower High School. As an amateur boxer, with 120 fights, he represented Oklahoma in the Golden Gloves, Silver Gloves, National Tournament and Junior Olympics. Jose trains at Mad Man Boxing Club in Elgin, Okla., and his trainers are his father, Jose Sr., and David Vaughan.

“I am excited to be fighting in my hometown, with George,” Jose said. “We fought on a pro/am card a long time ago in Oklahoma City. This fight October 4, is a chance for me to fight in front of all my Puerto Rican people, my family, friends and supporters.”
