Boxing Hall Of Fame And Village Of Canastota Host Summer Concert Series
CANASTOTA, NY – JULY 3, 2014 – The Village of Canastota Recreation Commission, along with the International Boxing Hall of Fame, will host the 2014 Summer Concert Series at the Event Pavilion located on the Hall of Fame Grounds.

“The Hall of Fame Event Pavilion offers an ideal setting for community residents and their families to enjoy the Hall of Fame Museum grounds and an evening of great music and entertainment every week throughout the summer,” said Hall of Fame director Ed Brophy.
The summer concert series will feature 8 concerts, beginning this evening (July 3rd) and will run every Thursday through August 21st. A variety of bands – from county, pop, rock and roll, polka and oldies – will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
The first concert of the summer will feature the Canastota Community Band, under the direction of Paul L. Shiffer, performing patriotic songs to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. The orchestra will perform marches and music from Cohan to Irving Berlin. The community band consists of approximately 25 performers of all ages.
