Weights: Cleverly-Hawk, Mares-Moreno, Angulo-Casarez

NATHAN CLEVERLY weighed in at 12st 6lb 4oz (174.4lb) for his World Boxing Organization (WBO) light-heavyweight title defence against Shawn Hawk in Los Angeles tomorrow night.

Hawk hit the scales at 12st 5lb 8oz (173.8lb) for the scheduled 12 rounder which will be staged at the Staples Center.

Several hundred fans turned up at the open air weigh-in which took place outside the arena where Cleverly will be making his fourth defence.

Unbeaten Cleverly, 25, said: “Shawn took the contest at short notice which forced me to find some orthodox sparring because my original opponent, Ryan Coyne is a southpaw.

“I have just been getting on with my job, training in the sun and looking forward to fighting in front of a new audience.

“I really enjoyed the weigh-in with the crowd making noise and the loud announcer, but my title defence is what I am here for.”

Hawk added: “I am in really good shape and ready to go.”

Cleverly v Hawk will be shown live and exclusive in the UK on BoxNation (Sky 437/Virgin546) from 1am Sunday. Join at
