WBO Announces Officials for Andrade vs. Martirosyan, Garcia vs. Martinez

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO- World Boxing Organization (WBO), by president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, announced today the referees and judges who will work this Saturday, November 9, in the title bouts between Roman “Rocky” Martinez versus Miguel Angel “Mikey” Garcia and Vanes Martirosyan against Demetrius Andrade, to be held at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas in a Top Rank presentation.

For the WBO junior lightweight title, the champion Rocky Martinez (27-1-2, 16 KOs) will make his third defense against the #1 ranked and former WBO featherweight champion Mikey Garcia (32-0, 27 KOs). The referees for this fight will be Laurence Cole.

The judges for the Martinez-Garcia fight will be Oren Shellemberger and David LaCobucci, both from Texas, and Levi Martinez from New Mexico. The WBO supervisor for this fight will be Richard De Cuir.

Meanwhile, Armenian Vanes Martirosyan (33-0-1, 21 KOs), the #1 WBO ranked at 154 pounds will face the #2 ranked Demetrius Andrade (19-0, 13 KOs) for the vacant WBO junior middleweight championship. For this bout the referee will be John Schorle.

The judges for the clash between Martirosyan and Andrade will be Don Griffin, Jesse Reyes and Javier Alvarez. The WBO supervisor for this fight will be Rolando Marcos Hermoso.
